Just curious if a doctor can accurately predict if your hair loss will be temporary or permanent based on his/her diagnosis they give you and based on the type of hair loss. My hair loss doc told me he thinks my hair will grow back, but I don't beleive him... I feel like he was telling me that for reassurance and so I won't freak out in his office. Would a doctor ever tell a person "Your hair loss is permanent"? Can they even tell by looking?
What do you all think?
I would love to know if my hair is just going to continue to fall out or if there is hope it will grow back in and this is somehow temporary. I have been having panic attacks over my hair lately and have been so anxious over this. If I knew for sure my hair would definitely grow back, and that this was only tempoary until my iron, copper, adrenals, thyroid, whatever was fixed, I wouldnt freak out so much everytime I take a shower and the drain fills up with hair :( So can a doctor really tell by looking?
