Mercury tooth fillings?

I've been doing some reading on mercury fillings lately, and am just curious if any of you have any mercury/silver fillings? I have one really small one, and have been considering getting it removed for a while now. Although I really don't think its causing my own personal hair loss, but have read that high mercury levels can cause hair loss. A man that I work with recently lost all of his hair due to alopecia, and has now been through several dentist appointments to get his fillings replaced, and while I haven't asked him about it, I wondered if that was why he was getting his fillings removed. So I found several websites regarding this, here's just one: http://www.mercuryfreenow.com/layperson/symptoms.html. Apparently the FDA just admitted in 2008 that mercury fillings can be toxic to humans. Great. :eek: Each time you brush your teeth or chew food, the filling leaks a little bit of toxic mercury into your body. There's actually a video on You Tube of a mercury filling under a black light and you can see the vapors coming off of it. There are tests to check mercury levels though, I think they can do a saliva test and a hair strand test to see if your mercury levels are high. Anyway, just thought I would mention this in case it helps anyone.

Getting mercury removed is only part of the battle. If you go to a regular dentist to have the mercury removed, many of them are not experienced in removing ALL mercury particles, and in the process of removing the mercury, some of it ends up getting into your body anyway. Mercury really causes hair loss ?? I had no clue. I was just looking up mercury now and CFL bulbs contain mercury and if they break their extremely harmful we've broken cfl bulbs before by accident.
