Hello everyone, just sign up for this forum today. I am so glad that a forum like this exists where women can receive useful information that can help deal with their hair loss. I am 26 years old and at age 14 I first noticed that my hair was thinning and slowly falling out. I remember at age 14 I noticed a half dollar size spot on the top of my scalp that was much thinner and had fewer hairs then the areas around it. I have never had a normal menstrual cycle and was diagnosed with PCOS. After many doctors and many different treatments, (steroids, birth control, etc…) I have finally found a doctor and a supplement package that has allowed me to receive my period for four months in a row, (first time in my entire life). I have also noticed that since 14 I am continuing to loss more and more hair. At first my friends would say that they don’t ever see a spot and that I’m crazy. Now they agree that over half my hair has fallen out and that the entire top of my scalp is considerable balding. All that started from a quarter size spot and spread. I do have periods throughout the year where I shred more then others. But all together I am always losing more hair then I am growing. Now it is even worst then ever. I am researching to find doctors and dermatologist in the LA region that are experts at hair loss. If anyone can recommend anyone I would be eternally grateful. Also if anyone has any ideas of what may be going on with me please do not hesitate to comment. Thank you all very much. :)
