I'm so glad I found this site and I really hope someone is experiencing the same issue as I am.

About 5 years ago my hairline slowly started to recede. Now I'm 33 and my hairline has moved back about 2 inches. It really looks like male pattern baldness but without the miniturized hairs. I have a few stray hairs where my hairline used to be. (Check out my blog for a good picture of what I mean http://whereismyhair.blogspot.com/) I've been to 3 hair restoration doctors to see if transplants were an option and NONE of them have ever seen anything like this before. I started minoxidil and Nioxin about 2 years ago because I was afraid of losing all of my hair. What hair I have is very thick but it hasn't helped at all in my hairline other than slowing the receding process down.

Now I use bangs to cover up the hairline. I've had my blood checked by our family doctor and everything came back normal. I'm waiting for approval to see and endocrinologist and a dermatologist. Hopefully, someone here has had the same problem and can tell me what questions I need to ask when I see the specialists.

If there is anyone who is suffering this same kind of hairloss could you please tell me what you're doing and if there are any treatment options? Thanks so much!

Hi there. I am 42 and i have a receding hairline too. I went to your blog and tried to join but it said the link was old.I saw your pictures and i am glad to meet someone who has the same issue i do. I have dealt with doctors not knowing and not ever seeing a woman with normal bloodwork who has male pattern balding. I have tried antiandrogen meds and monoxodil but none of it stopped the balding. I am on the edge now about whether i want to live in a wig or with an obvious receding hairline.I am not sure how i will exercise in one. I can only afford the cheapest human hair wigs. I bought a topper a few months ago and it was a disaster. It looked fake and the shop here would do no exchanges or returns.
