Hi all. I have never posted on this site before, but I really feel like I should share this info with you. Please forgive me if this is a really, really long post.

I am 26 and have been losing my hair for 5.5 years on and off. When it started I was almost 21 and had some amazingly thick and beautiful hair (of course). I remember suddenly one day in the shower it started coming out in handfuls and that was that. It didn't stop for two years after that. I was going into my senior year of college when it really started to affect me to the point where I wouldn't even get out of bed to go to class. I was so obsessed with it and because I started out with so much hair absolutely no one believed me, and I had zero support. I can honestly say the worst thing in the world is KNOWING something is wrong with you and no one believing you.

I saw 1 regular doctor, 3 dermatologists, and also Steve Bennis at the Natural Hair Growth Institute. I don't even want to mention how much these things cost. I know the Natural Hair Growth institute is headlining on this website, and I have to say that I don't necessarily think it's a scam, I just think the man (who I have met in person obviously) isn't the best at marketing what he's selling. However, having said that, I'm undecided on whether the not program worked for me. But he's only part of my success story.

I went to Steve in August, after my senior year of college, and started doing his program which consists of low level light hair therapy, using his "special all natural, etc." shampoos, conditioners, hair serums, and supplements, cutting out all red meat and processed sugars, and exercising one hour a day. That is his whole system. He said it would work for me in 4 months. And I'll be absolutely honest in saying that I did not work out every single day (or even close, especially not for an hour) and I missed some appointments for the laser therapy because I had to drive an hour and a half to get there. Therefore, it's hard to say what did or did not happen to my hair. I will say, it did not change at all during those four months.

However, towards the end of that time, I saw a lady who does Tong Ren and Tuina massage. It's all about energy healing with Chinese Qi and massage and all that. I really had no expectations and kind of thought at the very least it would just be an interesting experience. I also studied abroad in China during college so I am pretty open to Chinese medicine while others might not like taking this kind of approach.

The first session I explained to her about my hair loss and she spent an hour and a half doing Tong Ren and Tuina massage on me---she only charged fifty bucks. That week I noticed no difference. I went back the next weekend and told her I saw no difference, but I tried it again because it helped to loosen up my tight back and neck muscles. Again, she spent an hour and a half doing her crazy Chinese Qi magic or whatever---another fifty bucks.

Literally, the next day after that I got in the shower and I didn't lose a single freaking strand of hair. I remember trying to yank it out with my fingers and hair brush and NOTHING. Within about 2 months I had all kinds of regrowth and by the winter my hair was literally back to how it had been. The funny thing about it, is that after it all grew back...I never thought about my hair falling out. Everything just went back to normal and
I stopped identifying myself as someone with a problem. It was so strange.

Now, could this have all been from my prior therapy with Steve Bennis ---hair does take a long time to grow--- or was it from the tong ren lady? I actually really think it was the Tong Ren lady, the timing was just too perfect and I intuitively feel like its true. I had no problem with my hair for two years after that.

That's the good news (great news, really). And then the bad news....I moved far away a year and a half ago and started a really stressful job and....one day, just like some kind of horrific black magic, it started falling out again like crazy.

Right now my hair IS worse than it's ever been because I've experienced another year of hair loss at a very accelerated rate. I think this is due to the fact that I haven't been taking care of my body or health and I'm getting older. I actually went back (it's a plane ride to get there) to the same lady to see if she could help, but it didn't. I just don't think one visit could do the trick. I honestly think that she can help me, but that I just don't have the time or money to invest to see her right now. I am actually planning on moving back just so I can see her regularly for a while and get my life back in order. I really do believe it will work again.

At any rate, I am more hopeful about being able to fix this problem as I was able to fix it once before. It's horrible feeling like you are just wandering in the dark.

I know my story sounds crazy, but when I was experiencing hair loss for the first time, all I wanted was for ONE person to give me a story about something that actually worked for them----just one! Everything you read about is mostly about things that DON'T work.

If anyone has any questions I would be more than happy to answer them. I know what everyone is going through, especially since I am experiencing it again, but I also know that there is hope out there.

Hi, I don't know about that, but I've been using M.Gardsons technique for hair growth.
Usually my hair takes about 4 months just to grow an inch, but now - 2 inches in only 2 months.
