After 2.5 years of shedding and 13 doctors, with no help, I went to see Dr. Virginia Fiedler. Researcher and Proffessor of Dermatology at at Chicago U. She is in Wilmet Ill. I don't think she is doing me any good. I think her diagnosis is wrong. Diagnosed as alopecia areata. I don't think I have any symptoms of areata except diffuse hair loss. She put me on topical steroids, and clariton. I nhave been using them for over 5 months now, and no change. I used topical steroids in the past with no help. My loss is constant T.E. slows down each winter, and starting May, Bam, huge shedding for all of summer, but mostly May June are the worse. And every year is worse then the last. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen her, and what your feelings are, or if you have had any results. She just looked at my past labs from the other doctors, did the pull test, and said I have A.A. Had me do more labs but nothing was new. I am 61 , have low estrogen of course, and my thyroid is not the best. Up and down over the past year and a half, but tsh 1.8 to 4.3 except last week lab for tsh was 5.1. My free T3 was 2.6. Would love to here if anyone else has seen her. My email is kayjai at a o l . So you can email me directly if you will. Thank you.
