Since so many people on here have seemed to find success with Nizoral shampoo- I decided to give it a try (nothing else seems to be working- so why not?). I know that at first your hair may shed more that usual- but I was wondering how soon after you start using it will this happen? I used it for the first time today- and when I combed my hair out WAY more hair then I usually loose came out. Could this be the Nizoral already? My hair loss has been consistent for the 8 months I've been dealing with this except for today.

If this has happened to anyone else- how long did it take for the massive shedding to slow? I know I might be freaking out prematurely, but I'm at the point where I have just enough hair where no one would think I have a problem- but that will change soon if I loose as much hair as I did today.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Well, we may all be dealing with a different kind of hair loss, so it's hard to tell. I have the androgenic alopecia, which some call AGA, and haven't experienced the shedding yet. I use the Nizoral regularly, though.

I'd like to hear from others on this.

hi
i started using nizoral a few weeks ago but have not been consistent because i have been feeling like nothing is going to slow my hair loss.
i do not know if it just a coincidene but i deffinately notice less shedding straight after use and also the day after.then by the next daqy the shedding seems to come back at the same level as before.
am i imagining this, is rthe reduction in shedding because i washed my hair and all the loose hair have come out? or is it the nizoral making some impact ?

any comments would be appreciated.

thank you all xxx

Nizoral does help by removing the dht on the hair follicles. I have been using it for almost 2 years daily. It is not a permanent solution but it helps with the shedding and the itching if you have that too.

i agree thats its effective, im just very suprised to notice a diffrence within just a few washes, the day after use i notice i big reduction in shedding,i suppose everyone is different.
i use it 3 times a week as directed by my doctor.im just worried incase the reduction in shedding is down to washing out all the loose hairs???
guess ill never really know, im just pleased that i can see a diffrence.
i recommemnd trying this shampoo ! xx

thank for the replys x
