Lost 60% of my hair. I used to wear my hair halfway down my back thick and full. I also had my hair highlighted and lightened. Two months later, it is now straggly looking and very thin - androgenetic alopecia.

I'd appreciate any referrals to hairdressers in the South Florida area (not including Miami) - Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach.

Just saw an ad for Salon Alfieri on the Internet. It's located in Ft. Lauderdale and says it specializes in thin hair and hair loss. It seems to focus on hair replacement, though. I made an appointment for Friday for a free consultation

Anyone know anything about this place?

Gee, I'm responding to my own query!

I did get a free consultation with Chuck Alfieri, owner of Salon Alfieri. Talk about hair-loss friendly, I saw women in all stages of hair loss (he also sees men).

I had stated that I was interested in what they had to offer but was looking at options. His salon offers regular hair styling services and more:

Hair extensions
Volumizing and hair thickening extensions
Microstrand laser hair volumizing
Laser light hair restoration therapy
Hair integration - microline
Hair replacement system

Prices aren't cheap, but I'm getting desperate.

I just thought of a new name for myself - Mata No-Hairi

Hello,
I came across your thread when searching for a stylist specializing in hair loss in South Florida. Just wondering if you were able to find anyone you would recommend? I tried Alifieri last year but didn't have much luck. Please let me know if you came across any good ones.
Thanks so much!
