Hi! I am new to this form.:)I need an advice.
( I am sorry that my English is not good enough )
I've been having lot of hair shed since end of last year.
my hair don't shed mush when I do comb however it's shed a LOT when I wash hair also shed lot when I do comb after wash my hair.
I do comb with wooden wide comb with very careful.
everyday my hair shed more than 100. sometimes 130, 170, colose to 200
it has been since last winter. I went to see my Dr as primary care Dr,
he is careless. he told me about my hair shed is seasonal. but I don't think seasonal has been for 8-10 month.also my pony tail size getting small
it's not big change but it's slowly getting small. ( maybe 1/2 inch different before)
I had many blood test include tyroid and SLE.
most result come back as normal.
however my ferritin is 26. even all iron is in normal range,
Iron 135 ( 35-150)
Iron binding 378 ( 250-450)
Iron Saturation 36 ( 15-50)
Hemoglobin 14.3 (11.7-15.5)
Hematocrit 41.8 (35-47.0)
I asked about the ferritin lavel and hair shed to my DR.
he told me that my all iron lavel is as normal so would not recommend to take Iron supplument.
and he told me that he can't do anything about my hair shedding.:(
is there anyone who has Iron is normal range but low ferritin?
