    Hi, Ladies -

I'm new to all of this, and I joined this forum out of pure desperation. I have always shed quite a bit, but over the past two years, I have been shedding like crazy, and now it's at an all-time high. I am watching all of my beautiful hair go down the drain. In February, I had surgery to remove rapid-growth uterine fibroids and an ovarian cyst, and was then diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was immediately put on Aldactone (Spirnolactone) post-surgery, but I am losing hair like crazy. It's almost hard to believe...clumps are coming out. No doctor -from my G.P. to my surgeon to my gynocologist to my dermatologist- has been able to offer me any kind of explanation for why I am losing so much hair and/or how to stop it, and most of them actually say "not to worry about it," which is insane to me.

Can anyone offer my any suggestions on how to stop the shedding and regrow the hair that I've lost thus far? Is there some kind of specialist I can see? What is wrong with me? Ugh, I'm crying as I type this. Help!

    Hi Rachel,
I don't know much about the subject since im also new at this, but I have read that shedding is a symptom of POS. Also, you had surgery in Feb, which could also cause more shedding. Have you counted the hair you lose everyday?
I, too, am shedding a LOT...possibly from 2 stressful events that happened in my life. I really don't know anymore! I have been shedding for 7 months, but got worse in April. I am taking biotin, omega 3, iron, and now started a new supplement that I found on amazon with great reviews - Toji. I started it yesterday, so I will keep u updated. Hopefully it works. I also eat more protein & juice veggies & fruits.
Have you done anything for your shedding?

Hang in there...things will get better. I have been depressed over this for the past few months, but in the end it only makes it worse. Try to think positive.

    xoxo

Hey Miss84 - I`m taking Toji too, and I probably started it about the same time as you - just finishing my second bottle now.

Can`t say I have seen a vast improvement yet - hair is shedding worse than ever - but it does seem to be growing faster, what is left of it anyway.

Can`t fault Toji customer service though - I got my free bottle and they have been fantastic. I wrote a review on Amazon and I will keep it updated in the hope it helps someone else.

I think regarding the OP`s post, this is the problem with hair loss - so many different thigns can cause it, so there is not a one size fits all fix, and what may work for one person doesn`t work for another. Hormones are SO difficult to balance and monitor, even experts in the field can`t figure them out half the time. :(
