Hello, i'm hoping SOMEONE can help me. about 2 weeks ago, i started seeing a ton of hair falling out in the shower, and afterwards more, when i'd comb it out. its at least 4x the normal amount of hair that would shed after a shower. After a week, i could see the front thinning. I can also feel the thickness of my ponytail reducing. I'm a 31 year old female, relatively healthy, been exercising about 3 times a week. eat relatively health, but in teh last couple months, had more of a meat focused diet. last week started back eating more veggies, and taking supplements. No real notable stressors. Normal pills i've been taking for years (birthcontrol, dexedrine for a sleep disorder, Reactine for hives, green tea pills for weightloss) No major changes to my life, exception for the increase in exercising over the last 8 mos. Highlight my hair maybe once a year, but never had any other significant things done to my hair (ie. perms, or relaxers . . ) hair was always VERY health and thick. THe only change was that last year i broke out in a serious case of acne. Dermatologiist perscribed clymdoxil and retin-A for the scarring. Been using both those medications for the last 4-5 months. at this rate, i'm going to be bald by October, i know it will probably grow back, but i'm so self concious. and more importantly, there could signify an underlying health problem. HELP Anybody! (Btw, went for blood tests on friday, i believe they are running the following tests; ANA, TSH, B12, Ferritin, SHEAS, Prothrombin time (INR), GBC) are there any other tests I should run? Any suggestions on what might be causing it? HELP!!!
