The site began in August of 2007, in the middle of one of my darkest times. I decided to create an online journal of my daily thoughts and dealings with hair loss in hopes that it would be helpful and comforting to other women to know they are not alone. Ultimately, The Women's Hair Loss Project has grown far beyond what I thought it would be, and I am in constant awe and amazement of the women who are part of this close network. We help each other, we listen to each other, we remind each that we are more than our hair. Without-a-doubt The Women's Hair Loss Project has changed my life. It has shifted my perspective, improved my outlook, and it has made me feel more secure in myself... for this I have all of you to thank.
